Help and FAQ

Everything WorshipFlow can do, and where to find it. Most tools for a song are in the Tools button at the bottom of the song; app settings are in the ⋯ menu at the top right.

Songs and languages

Which languages are there? English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil come with the app. Telugu, Kannada, Spanish and Portuguese are free language packs: open ⋯ → Languages and download the ones you want.

How do I find a song? Type in the search box: it looks through titles, artists and lyrics. The chips under it filter by language, Recents and Favorites, and the A–Z strip on the right jumps to a letter; slide your finger along it and the letter shows large beside your finger.

Can I read a Malayalam, Tamil or Hindi song in English letters? Yes. In a song, open Tools → Display mode and choose Native (the original script), Translit (English letters) or Combo (both). It changes this phone and the projected screen. Telugu and Kannada songs work the same way.

How do I keep a song I use often? Tap the heart on its row; it then appears under the Favorites chip.

Can I add my own songs? Yes, with the + button on the Songs tab. Type chords in square brackets before the syllable they fall on, like [G]Amazing [C]grace. Your songs stay on your phone.

Does it work without internet? Yes. The songs live on your phone. You need a connection only to download language packs, Bible versions and song updates.

Reading and text size

The words are too small or too big. In a song, pinch with two fingers on the lyrics to make them bigger or smaller. The same works on Bible verses and in BandSync. For the whole app (lists, menus, buttons), use ⋯ → Text size.

Can I use a dark screen? Yes: ⋯ → Dark mode, or the sun and moon button at the top of a song's Tools.

Chords and transpose

How do I show chords? In a song, open Tools and turn on Show chords. Chords sit above the syllable they belong to. The setting is remembered for the next song.

How do I change the key? With chords on, Tools → Transpose: use − and + a semitone at a time, or tap one of the keys (C, D, E, F, G, A, B♭). Reset to original key takes it back.

Can chords follow the English letters instead of the original script? Yes. For a song that has both, Show chords over picks Native or Translit for this phone, and a second one picks it for BandSync.

Nashville numbers and guitar tabs? Both are in Tools when chords are on: Nashville numbers write the chords as numbers of the key, and Guitar tabs show a chart for every chord in the song (Premium).

Setlists

How do I add a song to a setlist? Tap the + on the song's row, or press and hold the song, then pick a setlist or make a new one. On the Setlists tab you can also press and hold a song to add it to another setlist.

Can a song have a different key or notes in one setlist? Yes. A song in a setlist keeps its own key, tempo, notes, title and words for that setlist, and the song in your library stays as it was.

Can I change the order? Yes: drag songs by their handle in the setlist.

Rename, duplicate, delete, share or print a setlist? Use the setlist's ⋯ menu: Rename, Save as file (to share with another phone), PDF (Premium), Duplicate and Delete.

Which setlist is on top? The newest one.

Projection

How do I put the words on a TV or projector? In a song, open Tools → Cast to screens and turn it on (Premium). Then Open on any device shows an address and a QR code: open it in the browser of any TV, projector computer or laptop on the same Wi-Fi. Chromecast works too.

How do I change what's on the screen? Tap a verse in the song to put it on the screen. Clear blanks the screen and Restore brings the last slide back.

Can I change how it looks? Yes. While casting, Tools → Cast appearance has themes (Classic, Warm, Cool, High contrast, Soft), fonts, and a background image or looping video with an overlay to keep the words readable.

Is there a lower third for the live stream? Yes. Add /lowerthird to the projection address and use that page in OBS or your streaming software.

The screen doesn't show anything. The phone and the screen must be on the same Wi-Fi. Some church and office networks stop devices from seeing each other; your phone's hotspot works instead.

BandSync and the stage

How does the band follow along? While you cast, band members with WorshipFlow on their phones tap the paper-plane icon at the top of the Songs tab, which opens BandSync Connect, and join your phone. They see the current slide with chords and the whole song, and it moves when you move. Band members without the app can open the address from Open on any device in their browser (or scan the QR code) and add /bandsync.

Can I make the BandSync words bigger? Yes. In the app's BandSync, pinch with two fingers on the words to make them bigger or smaller; your phone remembers the size. In a browser, only the browser's own zoom works, so joining through the app is easier to read.

Is there a view for the stage monitor? Yes, /monitor: the current and next slide with a clock.

Can I send a message to the stage? Yes. While casting, Tools → Live note to monitor sends a note (a sermon point, an announcement, "one more chorus") to the stage monitor without touching the lyrics. Long notes page automatically, and you can page them from your phone. Clear note takes it off.

WorshipFlow Web

Can I type songs on a computer? Yes (Premium). While casting, open Tools → Open on any device → WorshipFlow Web and open the address it shows in a browser on a computer on the same Wi-Fi. Approve the computer on your phone when the matching code appears; you can trust it for 30 days.

What can I do there? Add and edit songs with a real keyboard, see the slides as you type, paste many songs at once (ChordPro works) and add songs straight into a setlist. The songs are saved on your phone, nowhere else.

Bible

Which Bibles are there? The KJV, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi Bibles come with the app. More can be downloaded: NKJV, ESV, NIV, NLT, NASB, the Amplified Bible, Spanish (Reina Valera 1909), Portuguese (Almeida), Telugu and Kannada.

Can I read two versions side by side? Yes: choose a Primary and a Second version.

Can I make the verses bigger? Yes: pinch with two fingers on the verses.

Can I project a verse? Yes. With casting on, tap a verse to put it on the screen. Recent at the bottom brings back verses you showed before.

Pad, metronome and pedals

What is the pad? A soft, sustained background sound in any of the 12 keys, major or minor, for prayer and transitions (Premium). Start it from Pad at the bottom of a song or in Tools; in a setlist it follows each song's key.

Is there a metronome? Yes, under Tempo at the bottom of a song (Premium), with time signatures (4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 2/4) and a beat light. It starts at the song's tempo when it has one.

Can I turn slides with a foot pedal? Yes (Premium). Pair a Bluetooth page turner with your phone; its buttons move to the next and previous slide.

Your library

How do I move my songs to a new phone? ⋯ → Backup library saves your songs and setlists to a file. Move the file to the new phone and use ⋯ → Restore library there.

How do I get the newest songs and corrections? While you are online, open ⋯ → About and tap the update check; new and corrected songs are added to your library.

A song has a mistake. Tell us the title and what's wrong and we'll fix it in the next update.

Premium

What's free? Every song, search, favourites, setlists, chords and transposition, the Bible reader, and backup and restore. No ads.

What does Premium add? Projection, BandSync, the stage monitor and live notes, WorshipFlow Web, the pad, the metronome, Nashville numbers, guitar tabs, PDF export, the QR code and foot pedal support.

Is it a subscription? No. You pay once. The App Store and Google Play show the price in your currency.

I changed phones and lost Premium. Open Premium in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.

What is the Support ID? A code under ⋯ → About. Tap it to copy it and send it to us when you write for help; it lets us find your purchase.
